Membership
The Academia Society, Inc. (TAS) is focused on providing our valued members with the tools and resources to take your knowledge, leadership skills and ability to the next level. Becoming a TAS Scholar means that you’ve taken a step in the right direction to tap into the power of an established community of successful collegiate and alumni men who are daily developing a platform to raise our voices to effect change and influence within the collegiate, professional and alumni community. Our aim is to give back what has been given to us in the areas of health, wealth, education, the multicultural family and the arts.
A person, to be considered for membership in THE ACADEMIA SOCIETY, INC. must be a male of high ethical standards, matriculating in life. We do (case by case) make exceptions for gainfully employed professional employment where the chapter is located and have good credibility.
Intermediate Membership
Candidates for Metro Intermediate Chapters must be at least 18-24 years of age and possess one or more of the following:
- Actively enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning
- Professionally and gainfully employed;
- Active-duty member of any branch of the armed forces
- Meet the requirement set by the chapter of initiation and the society.
Professional/Alumni Membership
Candidates for Metro Professional Alumni Chapters must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age or with possess one or more of the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year College or University;
- An Associate’s degree from an accredited two-year College or University;
- Enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning;
- Professionally and gainfully employed;
- Active-duty or veteran member of any branch of the armed forces;
- Have some have some knowledge of organizations and College life as it relates to the Academia Society.
